About JSON Formatter
Paste minified JSON from an API response, a config file or a log line and this tool will pretty print it with two-space indentation, colour-code strings, numbers, booleans and null, and count the keys, total nodes and maximum nesting depth for you. Minify does the reverse, stripping all whitespace so the payload is as small as the format allows.
Validation uses the native JSON parser, then re-scans the message to report the line and column of the failure — a missing comma at line 4, a trailing brace at the end — because the built-in browser error alone rarely tells you where to look. Watch the depth counter on deeply nested responses: very deep structures are a common cause of stack overflows when they are re-parsed downstream. Everything is processed locally, so sensitive payloads never leave the tab.
