About Word Counter
The counter runs on every keystroke with no submit step. Words are split on whitespace, sentences on [.!?] boundaries, and paragraphs on blank lines, which matches how most editors and publishing platforms count. Reading time assumes 200 words per minute — the average silent reading speed for non-fiction prose — and speaking time assumes 130 words per minute, useful for scripting a talk or a voiceover.
The keyword panel strips punctuation, lowercases everything, removes common English stop words such as "the", "and" or "of", and ranks what is left by frequency. It is a quick way to check whether a draft keeps returning to the subject you intended, or whether a piece of SEO copy has drifted onto the wrong terms.
